Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Check whether all required items appear on the title page, including ORCID number for all authors.

Provide all metadata required by the submission system.

Include abstract on pages separate from the body of the text.
- Check whether the text is written in Arial or Calibri, 12-point font, double spacing, 3-cm wide margins all around, in any word processor editable files (including tables), with continuously numbered lines.

If the study received grants, please include the name of the funding agencies and process number at the end of the abstract and in the methods section.
- Include a document certifying that the research was approved by the ethics committee, if applicable, and mention in the text that the institutional research ethics committee approved the study for research involving human subjects.

Check whether figures and tables are in the required formats. The combined number of tables and figures should not exceed five, according to the type of submission.

Include permission to reproduce previously published figures or tables.
- Check whether references are standardized according to the Vancouver style, listed in alphabetical order by the first author's last name, and numbered; ensure that all references are cited in the text (AFTER punctuation marks, without parenthesis).
- If pertinent, include the checklist according to the type of study completed with the location of information in the text, as available on the EQUATOR Network website (http://www.equator-network.org).
- Describe whether there are conflicts of interest for any of the authors or sponsoring institutions.

- When applicable: Figures/Tables (figure_1.jpg/tiff/png; Table_1.doc)
3) Conflict of interest statement (COI_statement.doc)
4) Ethical approval (if applicable) (ethical_approval.doc/pdf)
5) Open science compliance form (open_science_form.doc)
- When applicable: Reporting guidelines checklist (reporting_guidelines.doc)
Do not name your files with authors'/institutions' names or versioning numbers.

Authors publishing in Geriatrics, Gerontology and Aging GGA retain wide rights to continue to use their works to support scientific advancement, teaching, and scholarly communication.
